Tudor External Door Released

We're back from GenCon!  It was a great time, and we got tons of new ideas while we were there.

We picked up a starter for WarMachine and books for Frostgrave, so there's always a possibility that we could release some terrain pieces that could do double duty for RPG and war games.

We're continuing to build out the pieces for the second level of the inn. We've added some pictures of the in-process inn to the project trello board. Grab the new tiles here and here for cross beam versions.

Variety is the spice of life -- and Tudor walls

To complete the set I released Tuesday, I've filled out the rest of the Tudor-wall variations.

We now have a full set of 1x1 - 4x4 of external cross beam walls along with 2x2 of all the diagonal variations.  Like usual, if you want any of the diagonal variations in other sizes, ping me and I'll get them released.

Grab the cross beam and the cross beam variations sets on Thingiverse and let me know what you think below.

Bow down before me, mortals!

"When someone asks if you're a god, you say yes!"

Are your gods feeling neglected? Give them the respect they deserve with this snazzy shrine.

I was getting a little antsy to do something other then tiles for the tavern, so I created this shrine.

This piece has many possible uses. It can act as a shrine, part of a dungeon puzzle, or a special place for items or ritual sacrifices. (In game, people! No ritual sacrifices in the real world!)

There are two main variations: the shrine, which has four pillars and a roof, with molding; and the wall shrine, which has two half pillars and a roof with molding. The shrine can be set anywhere. The wall shrine is designed to butt against a wall.

Both include variations in which the shrine is completely open so you can set what you like in it, and both have an option with an altar where you can set items.

The shrine has a variation with a plinth that is sized for miniatures with a 25 mm base (most of the plastic Pathfinder and D&D minis). If you resize all the plinth parts to 200%, it should also hold large mins. This can be used to create some really interesting shrines for specific people or gods.

Grab it on Thingiverse and let me know what you think in the comments. If you like what you see, support our Patreon campaign.

Tudor diagonals released!

With this, I've got all the tiles needed for the Tavern's first-floor great room.  I need to do a fair amount of printing and painting, but as soon as I have, I'll post pictures of how the tavern is coming along.

This set has two versions: one with diagonal bases and the other with square bases. Picture of a square diagonal is forthcoming. The first one I made didn't come out properly, so I'm re-printing it now.

Note: I broke my foot Saturday and just had surgery.  Releases might be irregular for the next week or two, but I'm doing my best to stay on schedule.

Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you are at the $2/model level, be sure to vote for what you want to see coming next on the OpenForge Trello board.  Everyone can scan the upcoming ideas and comment.  If you should have an account but don't, message me and I'll get you in.

Tudor and Cut-Stone "Pillars" Released!

This piece serves at least two purposes. First, it can resolve the gap that forms when you create a corner with two wall pieces. Second, it can be used as a structural beam to help hold up additional levels.  It also happens to be a necessary set of pieces for the tavern.  To see some uses, and get a preview of how these will be used in the tavern, take a peak at the pictures on Thingiverse.

Since this tile was a rather simple build, I've gone ahead and created multiple sets at once.  I've published Tudor standard-height pillars, as well as cut stone in all three heights (half, standard and tall).

Given the huge number of possible variations in tile sizes and pillar placement, I've created the most common ones. If you want another size/placement, leave a comment and I'll get it uploaded.

As usual, let us know what you think below.
